Experience

  1. 2024 – today

    Staff Engineer, Web at Andercore, Berlin

    Joined as Senior Frontend Engineer, promoted to Staff Engineer five months later. Built the supplier and logistics apps from scratch and an AI agent that confirms deliveries by phone; maintain the buyer app and andercore.com in four languages.

  2. 2020 – 2024

    Senior Frontend Engineer at Joblift, Berlin

    Co-created the shared component library behind every Joblift interface and introduced Playwright end-to-end testing. Built JobCoach personalised job recommendations, the new homepage, a multi-column search page and smart apply to several jobs at once.

  3. 2017 – 2019

    Mobile and Frontend Engineer at klarx, Munich

    Built klarx's iOS and Android app in React Native, the React web app behind it, and worked on its Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL backend. Led development and delivery of the klarx manager web app for customers' projects, rentals and finances.

  4. 2014 – 2017

    Master's in Informatics at the Technical University of Munich

    Graduated with 1.8, while working as a web engineer at QUAEST with Node.js and Socket.io.

  5. 2011 – 2014

    System Engineer at Infosys, India

    Worked on Apple iCloud content services, built the tools that migrated and tested Apple's communication templates, and fixed UI issues in the miAdidas configurator. Received the MFG WOW award.

  6. 2009 – 2011

    Software Engineer at Software Paradigms International, India

    Worked on inventory, invoicing, tax and reporting in a retail management system for Genuine Parts Company, from requirements to testing.

About

I'm Madhukar Sollepura Prabhu Shankar. Most people call me Madhu; online I'm madhukarsp.

I started in 2009 building enterprise software in India for clients like Apple, Adidas and Genuine Parts Company, moved to Munich in 2014 for my Master's at the Technical University of Munich, and have built products for startups in Munich and Berlin ever since.

I'd rather own a system end to end than a slice of one: take the first requirement, make the architecture calls, ship every week and stay to run what I built. Pragmatism over ceremony.
